Universal CNC CRT to LCD Installation Guide

June 2026 | Kongto Technology | Compatibility Matrix

Before You Start: Identify Your System

Before ordering a replacement, you need three pieces of information:

  1. CNC brand and control model (e.g., FANUC 0-TC, Mitsubishi M64)
  2. CRT part number (found on label on back of display)
  3. Connector type (count the pins or check brand-specific connector)

Universal Installation Steps

  1. Safety first: Power off CNC machine. Lock out power if available. CRT displays contain high-voltage capacitors β€” if unsure, have a technician handle this.
  2. Remove old CRT: Remove 4 corner screws on the bezel. Pull CRT forward gently. Support the unit β€” 9-inch CRTs weigh about 3 kg, 14-inch units can be 5+ kg.
  3. Disconnect cables: Unplug the video signal connector. Note which connector goes where. Take a photo for reference.
  4. Connect new LCD: Plug the original cable into the new LCD. The connector should fit directly β€” no adapters needed if you ordered the correct model.
  5. Mount: Use the original screw holes. The replacement LCD is designed for the same mounting pattern.
  6. Power on and test: Turn on the CNC. Verify the display shows correctly. No parameter changes are required.
